During the last 5 years Kippi has been discovering and practicing many different mediums and techniques through her experimental abstract work in charcoal, pastel and acrylic. It is through the discovery of alcohol inks and their rich depth of color paired with an unbridled fluidity that she found her art began to truly come to life Her work includes a custom mixed color palette. She utilizes pouring, her hands, air, brushes and gravity to guide the ink, working both at an easel and flat on a table. Her ink work is bold and expressive. Her mixed media work is often abstraction in mark making utilizing black and white acrylic paints, metallic pigments, charcoal and subtle finger painted oil pastels.
Kippi is influenced by her love of color and design in residential interiors. She believes that there is a connection between where people live and what they surround themselves with. She creates art with that relationship in mind. She credits traveling the world to locations such as Italy, Israel and Hawaii with all of their unique characteristics, rich heritage, fascinating people, lush landscapes, iconic architecture and historically significant colors as deeply influencing.
Part of Kippi’s mission statement is to pay forward what she is learning. She is a supporter of the arts often volunteering at local art centers with scholastic field trips as children learn to express themselves through art projects. She has served as a guest judge for a scholastic art program sending selections to New York for a national competition. She teaches workshops at the Schack Art Center in Everett Washington where she is also on the board of directors. Her desire is to be a light to others and empower them to find their own unique art voice with supportive, positive and encouraging guidance.

Art Creation with relationship in mind.
Born and raised in Camas Washington, Kippi enjoyed a 20 year career as the owner and CEO of her own furnishings, remodel and interior design company. Prior to marrying and relocating to Everett, Kippi travelled solo to Italy in September of 2013 where she believes, a brief moment of seeing the discarded carvings of Michelangelo in the Museo dell' Academia would bring to her a passionate desire to not just decorate homes but to create the art she would so often place with her clients. Her return from that life changing trip was marked by purchasing charcoal and pastels determined to create a future for herself filled with learning and growing as an artist. In 2014 she met and within 6 months married her love Gregory and once relocated to the Seattle area began to create art professionally. Her love of travel to Italy nourishes her creativity, it has been the inspiration for many of her paintings. She creates at her art studio in the Georgetown area of Seattle.
